Ain't the ocean BEAUTIFUL??????????? Our cruise was AWESOME. We had close seating arrangements for dinner, but that turned out ok because 2 of the 6 people at our table got up and went to the upper deck--so, we had a *lil* more breathing (& eating) space. We ate prime rib with mashed taters & veggies & had a scrumptious apple-cake & coffee for dessert (Splsh had two pieces, but don't tell him I told on him! *G*)

The people at the table in front of us offered us a piece of their delicious cake they'd brought for a birthday (as a wedding present)--it was a chocolate DREAM cake, I don't know how else to describe it--but it was *DELICIOUS*! David & I fed each other cake....that was our wedding cake! :)

While waiting for dinner, we watched the dolphins playing in the water....*awesome* lightening over the water.....listened to the thunder....and yes, it POURED rain! Splsh worried & fretted because we'd left the tent wide open to air when we left for the cruise (we would have DIED from the heat had we closed it!) It rained like fiercest fury throughout the cruise. The harbor was right across from our campsite, btw...so his fretting wasn't without warrant. :/

We sat at the second table away from the lil band....it consisted of 3 singers, 1 of which was the piano player. They asked for requests (tho they didn't know any up-to-date songs!) Several people onboard were celebrating birthdays & there were a few anniversaries...but we were the *only* ones celebrating a wedding! David snuck away to talk to the band & request 'our song': (Love Is) Something That We Do (by Clint Black). The band didn't know it--or Harbor Lights (tho the cruise name was Harborlites! LOL) Finally, David found one they knew & could sing (I Only Have Eyes For You). When they dedicated it to us & began to sing, David asked me to dance--so, we danced...that was our first real dance together! :) We danced to several songs--it was really *wonderful*!!!!!

We found that Charleston was FLOODED when we got back to the harbor & headed back to the campground!!!! The water in the streets came up to the door panels on my car & I found out my Ford Probe was NOT meant to double as a boat! *G* After we crossed the river heading back, it looked *dry*!! When we got back to our site, we found it hadn't rained a DROP on that side!!!!!! :)) Was someone looking out for us, or WHAT?!? Had it rained at the campsite like WE had seen it rain, we'd have had to sleep in the car on our wedding night (although it was hot enough to melt steel in our tent, almost)--and the trip home would have been a soggy MESS. Thankfully, all we had on the trip home was problems the flood had caused for my car...
